Come to the Fair!

The 3rd annual Living Green Fair, organized by the Port Hope Heritage Ecology Garden, sets out to provide ideas and demonstrations on how to "green" your life:

  • See the fuel-efficient vehicles on display.
  • Browse the exhibitors offering various ways to insulate your house, demonstrate solar and wind options and geothermal heating, and show energy-efficient stoves and furnaces.
  • WindmillLearn about the recycling programme and other environmental issues.
  • Check out the variety of cotton and hemp products and cloth diapers available.
  • Discuss water source protection and protecting habitats.
  • Learn about vermiculture, butterfly gardens, drought-resistant native plants, and conserve water in the process.
  • Find out about locally grown produce.

It's a family affair! There's something for everyone – food to eat and "food for thought," entertainment, activities for kids, and input from local youth, plus a draw for prizes donated by exhibitors! Admission only $3 for adults, age 15 and under free.
